Following a request submitted to the authorities by the Friends of Ella Maillart Association, the municipality of Geneva announced in October 2016 that a new road, named "Chemin Ella-Maillart", will be created to connect a group of buildings in the Les Allières neighborhood in Eaux-Vives.
