31 August 2025 : Translémanique Solo - Challenge Ella Maillart

The first edition of the Ella Maillart Challenge was won by Sophie Frei from Pully. This award honours the first woman in the corrected time ranking of the Translémanique Solo, the world's largest and most demanding single-handed lake regatta, organised by the Société Nautique de Genève (SNG) since 1974. The Challenge is displayed at SNG with the name of each year's winner engraved on the base. Ella Maillart was a member of SNG when she participated in the Paris Olympics in 1924. This award represents a tribute to her temerity as a sportswoman.
